It’s Official…I’m An NRA Golden Eagle!!!
As you can imagine with the traveling that I am doing, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with my mail. I collected my mail yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see the package from the National Rifle Association (NRA) with a Golden Eagle Patriot Medal for supporting their Golden Eagles Program. I just became aware of the NRA Golden Eagles Program and wanted to share information about this great program!
Just for the record, when I moved back to the United States of America after my first three years living and working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I was so frustrated with our country’s politics regarding the attacks on the Second Amendment of our Constitution that I upgraded to a Patriot Life Endowment Member of the NRA.
Even though I am at this level of a membership with the NRA, I do not agree 100% with all of the organization’s stances. For example, I am very much a supporter of universal background checks and an integrated system across all U.S. states to ensure at least that loophole is closed for criminals to obtain firearms. However, I still fully support the mission of the NRA to protect our Second Amendment Constitutional Rights.
I wanted to highlight the three specific areas of the NRA Golden Eagles Program that were the reasons why I am supporting this important program:
Youth Firearm Training – The NRA Golden Eagles help make it possible for up to four million youth to participate in NRA education, shooting competitions and safety programs.
Firearm Safety and Education for Adults – The NRA Golden Eagles help support millions of adult women and men to learn the fundamentals of firearm safety and responsible gun ownership.
Refuse To Be A Victim® Program – The NRA Golden Eagles help support federal, state and local law enforcement officials teach thousands of Americans how to protect themselves and their families through self-defense strategies.
Personally, I wish there was an addition to the Second Amendment or a separate constitutional amendment that requires all U.S. Citizens, with no exceptions, who are 18 years or older to serve in the U.S. Military Service (including the National Guard). I also believe that our National Guard and military roles should be expanded in terms of their roles and responsibilities. For example, I would like to see them take a more active role in natural disasters, as well as securing our northern and southern borders. It would be good training and practice for the soldiers as well as testing out new tactics, strategies, and equipment that could be used on the battlefield. This would also result in a new economic engine, especially if “Buy American” was truly implemented by the U.S. Government.
By having the new recruits using older equipment for training and practice in this capacity… would allow for the resources to be used up to their rated usage/life expectancy, and then can be replaced with newer and more modern equipment, which in turn would spur more innovation and more economic development. This is already being seen in Ukraine with their innovation, while the rest of the world continues to forget the past of what happened in the previous world wars and keep their heads buried in the sands thinking this problem is going away on it’s own. Another classic case of appeasement and will be another classic case for failing to remember the past…
At the minimum, I wish high schools across the United States would also make these three training programs a requirement to graduate from high school…all three could be completed in less than one day:
Safe firearm handling and responsible gun ownership.
Fire Safety 101 Basics, including how to use a fire extinguisher.
What to do in case of an emergency.
Personally, all three of these topics should be given the same priority as requiring students to learn how to swim, play football or basketball, or attending liberal arts classes. Why is it that people these days are so educated and now trained like dogs to add (She/He/It) after their names so much in our high schools…yet I highly doubt the majority of people forcing these things down the children’s throats (literally in the case of Cayuga County, NY)…I highly doubt any of them could even load a BB gun let alone hit a soup can at 10 yards. As a matter of continuous improvement, I strive to keep my shots within the diameter of a quarter at a distance of 100 yards….but that’s what you get from being on the high school rifle team and going to compete down at West Point…twice in high school!!!
The other reason I’m bringing this up now, is because even though deer season is open up in the North Country, the corrupt and unethical legal professionals within Cayuga County, NY continue to grossly violate my Second Amendment Constitutional Rights based on verifiable perjury and some interesting county clerk actions that were taken behind the scenes. If there are any lawyers working for the NRA Civil Defense Fund who would like to have a conversation with someone who has quite a lot of interesting documentation for your review, then feel free to reach out to me directly. There is a class action lawsuit or two just waiting to happen in Cayuga County, NY and I am more than happy to help out in any way that I can.
